635984341047784742-1151601665_letting-goIn life, there are times where it is clear that we are ready to move on.  To move onto bigger and better things. Most of would love to move onto bigger and better things, the only problem is that sometimes we are afraid or don’t want to let go of what we have right now. Letting go is nothing to be feared, it is something that can be of great benefit and will lead us closer to our dreams and goals.

So why do we choose not to let go? Some of us fear the unknown. Like it’s better to keep what we have, what we know, at this point in time rather than have a new experience or be without it. This could be your problems, or a toxic relationship. This is where people get stuck at being in this area. It is very hard to progress in life when we fear letting go. It’s almost as if we are saying, ‘this is fine. We can deal with this, it may be scary out there and I know this problem so well.’ The ‘it’s better the devil you know ‘approach.

Other people want the bigger and better, but find it so hard to keep going from goal to goal if we can’t let go. Imagine hanging on to one goal post and trying to grab the other as you desperately hold onto the last one. Most of the time it is a pretty impossible task, unless you have freakishly long arms, or you are strong enough to drag the goal post with you. But how long can you keep that up? It may work for a little while but it can be very tiring to keep dragging all your stuff with you through all your goals. Wouldn’t it be so much easier to be moving more freely through your goals and you let go of the parts that hold you back?

What would you rather do? What would you commit to? Many of us even tell each other to ‘just let it go’, but how do we let it go by ourselves? It can be done, where we reach a point that we no longer care and that we just let go. But, this does take a long time for that to happen. Wouldn’t it be so much easier if there was a way to just let go altogether?  What if there was such a way? What would that be worth to you to be free of the shackles that hold you back?

Well there are various ways in which this can be done. You could go see someone, you can work yourself to a level where you rise above, you can start to live with the attitude of gratitude. Do these ways work? Absolutely, but what must change in totality is your behaviour. If you just attempt to act the part, there is a very good chance that you will come back to the old way that you have been operating and the old behaviours will prevail.

This is because the old behaviours and programs have not been deleted. It can be done though, to turn them around and leave them in the past. In essence we must reinvent ourselves as we let go of the past issues. Let go of the old goal post so that we can progress to the next, no matter how scary it seems. Let go of the old you and to continue to improve yourself, that is the commitment that you must make. Let go of the ego, get out of your own way so that you can help and let others see what gifts that you have to offer.

So do you commit yourself to improving your life? What do you need to let go of to allow you to be able to be free to chase your dreams? If this sounds like something that you want, that you need, to live a truly inspired and inspiring life, what would you let go of to get there?

The answer is that you only need to let go of the negative, if you want to keep all the positive parts of you, you can. If you want any help with getting to this point, it may be an idea to contact me and see what we can do to get you to that goal. After all, I have been in that position before and now am living the life that I truly love.
